give me a disaster Adderpaw was a rebel at best on occasion, leaving the camp without his mentor regardless of the consequences. He was bored beyond reason and simply refused to fall behind in his training, even if his mentor wouldn't help him. He refused to not be as good as Venompaw. Even if they were siblings, and basically connected at the hip. He had to show he could be just as good as her, if not better!
The boy would fall into a pathetic excuse for a hunter's crouch if there ever was one, as he moved through the tall grass and swampy-muck that made up the border of Thunderclan, Riverclan, and Shadowclan. He'd stalk nothing in particular, still having no concept of stalking prey by scent, and instead would just hope to stumble upon something. That was what warriors did after all, right?
A small flock of birds picking at insects would soon be stumbled upon, and he'd push forward, attempting to bring at least one down, only to watch them fly away, not even having gotten close, a twig having cracked beneath his paws. Damnit! A bet Venompaw could have gotten one. The birds had shrieked as they fled, alerting everyone and anyone to his position. Oh well. He highly doubted anyone would be looking anyway.
Wind blew all around him as the clouds continued rolling in, casting an eerie darkness over the land, and threatening to let loose a large amount of rain on his world. He should probably be heading back soon, but the boy couldn't bring himself to do so, still wallowing a bit in his own failure. May as well get over it now before heading back to the camp right? Maybe he'd even be able to catch something else if he waited. Yeah. Maybe. Probably not.

Hollyhock had strayed a little too far away from camp, landing her just barely inside the Thunderclan territory. She didn't realize her mistake until just minutes ago, catching a whiff of an unfamiliar cat of the opposing clan. She didn't furrow her brow or scrunch her face at the scent like so many others did; Holly simply took it as a sign to get out. The she-cat was not one to cause unnecessary scuffles.
Holly laid low as she secretly searched for the owner of the scent. It was a weakness of hers, her curiosity, driving her strictly by impulse. She stuck to the bushes to avoid detection. As she caught sight of the cream-colored enemy, Holly couldn't help but smile. He was a handsome fellow and he looked so determined. It was endearing, assuming he wasn't a bloodthirsty killer like some thought the cats from other clans were. She couldn't see such kind eyes behaving in such a way, so she followed them with her own.
The stranger caused a cracking sound, sending his prey literally flying. The combination of both determination and mistake made Holly giggle rather audibly before realizing her own mistake of revealing her presence. Her eyes widened quickly as she shut her mouth. Maybe he was a killer? She was in the wrong, and she knew it. All she could do was hope he hadn't heard her...

give me a disaster The small apprentice, just beyond kit age was wallowing in self-pity when a large laugh was heard, and head would snap towards the position of the sound. With fur puffed up menacingly, if such a thing were possible for a small, almost-kitten looking cat, towards the noise. Bi-colored eyes would scan the grass for the site of another, and soon, he'd find himself a cat who wasn't a Thunderclanner.
It smelled different, not like the trees, or leaves, or sap, or the good smells that were dense woodland. Instead, it smelled, not mucky, but like still water, and reeds, and disgusting in his mind. Or, okay, maybe not putrid and terrible, but different, and he didn't like it.
As a small apprentice, untrained in anything, he knew he should run, but he didn't care. He'd prove he could be just as good as any warrior! He could definitely handle a fully trained cat from an opposing clan! He didn't need a warrior to help him!
The white and orange puff-ball would let out an airy hiss and just stare at his 'opponent', trying to see what she'd do. He'd give his most discombobulating stare, and his meaning grimace, and wait. It would look demanding and rude, and as though it deserved an answer...or hopefully it would, because the boy couldn't ask with his useless vocal chords, or lack there of.
The wind would blow and the boy would hold his ground, an ear flicking as the almost-kitten would stand there, trying to look intimidating, and instead probably just looking like a poor excuse for an angry cat, probably more adorable than angry.

The light-colored cat across the way had noticed her. How could he not have? Holly had essentially broken the first rule of stalking - never make a sound. It seemed only fair though; he had done the same thing. Another she-cat might've shown herself at this moment, but Holly felt no reason to do so. If this young tom had any brains at all, he could find her easily if he wanted to. She had no intention of moving from her spot - her vantage point was excellent and she knew he was no actual threat.
As the leaves began to shuffle in the wind around her, Holly's pale green eyes were no doubt visible for split seconds. Some hiding spot. Hollyhock sat down patiently, a smile on her face and her tail curled around her. Her curiosity kept her in place. She didn't often see cats from other clans - unless they were gathering. Since he was so young, she could observe from a distance. Of course, it was maybe too late for that now.
